Tropical Storm Ketsana

Tropical Storm Ketsana locally known as 'ondoy' hit the Philippines, especially Manila (its capital) and other nearby provinces on Wenesday, September 23. Reports stated that the number of dead and missing people raised to at least 106 people. The storm caused flooding, which was noted to be the worst ever experienced in more than 4 decades.

According to the news, rescuers have saved more than 5000 people, however, nearly 300,000 were affected by the storm. Some families were brought to schools, churches and other evacuation shelters.

With this, let us offer a short prayer to all the people, not only for those who were greatly affected by Tropical Storm Ketsana, but also, for those people who were facing various disasters around the world.

Saint Genevieve, we pray that you will always save the lives of your people who are suffering from various disasters. May you let us all see the bright side of life, away from fear and anger. Help us in finding the real meaning of eternal life and may you lift our prayers to Our Lord in Heaven. Ask Him to bless our land, our family and the souls of your people. Amen.
