Call Centers are continously growing around the world especially in the Asian countries. For me, it is simply because of the cheaper labor cost especially for international owned companies. Foreign investors who run their businesses mostly spent little out of their huge profits.
Let me mention Philippines in this matter, since it has been bombarded with both local and international call center companies offering different products and services.
Call Centers offer greater employment opportunities, but working in this kind of industry is both a privilege and a burden. That's how I perceived things after working as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) or Customer Care Representative (CCR) in some international call centers based in Manila, Philippines.
Life is like living in a fast phase environment, where you should easily adapt to changes, embrace new things and absorb a vast array of knowledge. Time schedules may vary from time to time and for me, it is somehow frustrating to be in the night shift. Still, most of the job seekers are aiming to work in call centers due to salary, which is quite higher than the minimum wage.
And as a goal, employees should treat their callers the best that they can ever treat them. There would be no work without the callers or customers, so it is every employee's duty to satisfy them.
Nonetheless, working in a call center is an incredible experience that enhances my self-confidence.

Working in a call center does help a lot in boosting one’s self-confidence. In an industry where you’re exposed to and get to meet people of different cultures, be it your co-workers or clients, every day is one major factor. It’s such a privilege to be working in a call center industry. Your personal relationship skills will immensely improve, and you can carry it as an asset after employment, and even for the rest of your life.
