Before Delivery
The delivery date was on June 04, 2009, but it had been over a week now (June 11) and I'm still carrying my baby in my womb. Some parents said that they also experienced the same way and explained that some delays in labor were quite normal. But to make sure that everything was perfectly fine, we consulted a doctor.
If nothing happened until June 15, I must be examined a doctor to see if my labour should be induced or not.
"Induction is offered if the risks of prolonging your pregnancy are more serious than the risks of delivering your baby straight away. If pregnancy has gone beyond 41 weeks and is considered overdue. Induced labour tends to be more intense and painful for the woman, often leading to the increased use of analgesics and other pain-relieving pharmaceuticals."
June 12 at 5:00 in the afternoon when my labor contractions began. "Contractions are often described as a cramping or tightening sensation that starts in the back and moves around to the front in a wave-like manner."
My husband and I were at the emergency room at 11:00 PM in Södersjukhuset (Stockholm).
