In Philippines, some of the popular events during Easter include singing of Story of Passion of Christ or Pabasa, reenactments of Jesus' march to Calvary carrying a crucifix, devotees whipping themselves with chains and penitents being nailed to the cross.
In UK, USA, Canada, Middle East, India, Japan, China, New Zealand, Australia and European countries, egg dyeing and playing games such as Easter Egg Hunt, Egg Tapping and Easter Egg Roll are parts of their celebrations. Easter Bunny which originated from Germany is also becoming a part of their festivities.
In Scandinavia, Easter tradition includes decoration of eggs and chicken everywhere.
Here in Sweden, the house is decorated with eggs, chickens and feathers. Aside from knocking on others door to collect candies, children usually receive eggs full of candies, chocolates or other little gifts from their parents, grandparents and relatives.

I really enjoyed reading over your blog. My question to you would be, "How did you celebrate this day?" God bless, Lloyd
Hello, Lloyd! Thank you for reading the articles I posted here. By the way, "How do I celebrate Easter?" Here in Sweden, I do attend the Sunday Mass and decorate the home with eggs, chickens (figurines) and feathers. In Philippines, I used to sing the Story of Passion of Christ (locally known as Pabasa), as well as attending the Sunday Mass. Have a nice day!
