Before Delivery

The delivery date was on June 04, 2009, but it had been over a week now (June 11) and I'm still carrying my baby in my womb. Some parents said that they also experienced the same way and explained that some delays in labor were quite normal. But to make sure that everything was perfectly fine, we consulted a doctor.

If nothing happened until June 15, I must be examined a doctor to see if my labour should be induced or not.

"Induction is offered if the risks of prolonging your pregnancy are more serious than the risks of delivering your baby straight away. If pregnancy has gone beyond 41 weeks and is considered overdue. Induced labour tends to be more intense and painful for the woman, often leading to the increased use of analgesics and other pain-relieving pharmaceuticals."

June 12 at 5:00 in the afternoon when my labor contractions began. "Contractions are often described as a cramping or tightening sensation that starts in the back and moves around to the front in a wave-like manner."

My husband and I were at the emergency room at 11:00 PM in Södersjukhuset (Stockholm).

June 13, 2009 when Jazmine was born.

June 15 - First visitor at the hospital (Lisa Israelsson). Jazmine received gifts from Tina's family.

Time to go home!
June 18 (11:00 AM)Jazmine's first day at home.

June 20
First time to use the stroller.

June 21
First check-up (yellowness, etc.) at Södersjukhus. First visitors at home were Flax, Linda and their two daughters. Jazmine received one pack of Libero diapers and H&M present card (100).

June 22Her grandparents (Farmor Monica och Farfar Jörgen) and Jonas visited us. Jazmine received some gifts from her grandparents and a basketball ball from Jonas.

June 23(11AM)
Her first hearing check-up at Södersjuhus and the results were very good. Ate Analita, Tobbe and their kids visited us at our place. Jazmine received a pair of Nike shoes and a whole body superman dress.

June 26 (10AM)
Her first check-up at Barnavårdcentralen (BVC) in Dalens, with Marie Flygård (baby nurse).

July 03 (11AM)
Her second check-up in BVC

July 12 (6PM)
Her first time to attend the Catholic mass in Kungsträgården.

July 13 - One Month Old
Another check-up in BVC at 11 in the morning.
Received her one-month-old gift from her grandparents (farmor och farfar).

July 17First time to travel by car to Kalmar for 12 days summer vacation. Visited her grandparents and cousins.

July 20
She met her Aunt Jaypee and Uncle Ivan in Kalmar.

July 29
Went back to Stockholm.

August 05
Supposed to be Jazmine's check-up in BVC, however the clinic was closed. Better luck next time. Lols!

August 08
Bought two pillows for Jazmine's stroller at Hornstull.

August 10
Eye-sight check-up at BVC (14:30). Everything was okay.

August 13 - Two Months Old

August 23
Jazmine started to suck her thumb for the very first time.

August 27
First meeting with the Priest regarding Jazmine's Baptism (5:30).

August 30
01:30 AM - Jazmine fell from the sofa for the first time, but she didn't cry.
First time to grab things.

September 10
18:00 - Second meeting with the Priest regarding Jazmine's Baptism.

September 13 - Three Months Old

September 16
Check-up in BVC.

September 29
Third meeting with the Priest regarding her christening in Katolska Domkyrkan in Medborgarplatsen.
First time to wear shoes (Nike shoes from Ninang Analita).
She began to move or roll over from stomach to back.

October 3

October 13 - Four Months Old

October 17
Fixed Jazmine's passport at Rådhuset.

October 21
Check-up in BVC.

October 23
Jazmine got her Swedish passport.

October 28
Jazmine started to crawl a bit.

First 'Baby Massage Session' in BVC with other moms and babies at 1-2:30 in the afteroon.

November 04
Second 'Baby Massage Session' in BVC with other moms and babies at 1-2:30 in the afteroon.

November 06
Jazmine fell from the bed (12:30 AM).

November 08
First time to eat bottled food (Corn Pure´).

November 13 - Five Months Old
She was crawling and gripping things.

November 14
Bought her own chair in IKEA.
First time to use her baby chair.

November 17
First time to drink water.

November 19
Check-up in BVC.
Second vaccination and got 2 vaccines on her both legs.

November 22
Had a really hard time putting Jazmine's diaper on her.

December 01
Opened her first christmas present (Julia Blondie).

December 02
First time to have/drink fruit drinks.
Got her second julklapp (photo album).

December 03
First time to stand up by herself.
Third julklapp - hair brush and comb.

December 04
First time to sit in the sofa by her own.
4th julklapp - pink wholebody dress.

December 05
Jazmine fell from the bed (third time). Her nose hit the floor first. Brought her to the hospital for check-up (3-7PM). Thanks God, everything was fine.
5th christmas present - Mimsy the Rat.
